You could say I’ve always lived the “green” life.  Growing up, my family was all about recycling, buying locally and being environmentaly friendly.  From hand-me down clothes to homemade cleaning products to taking public transportation, my family was doing their part in caring for our Earth long before it went mainstream.   Sure, going against the grain wasn’t always easy, but it helped prepare me for the oversaturation of the “go green” movement of recent years.

It’s hard to go a day without hearing or reading something about “going green.” I’ve been overwhelmed with different tips and suggestions how to live a more environmentally friendly and sustainable lifestyle.   I want to be a better citizen of Mother Earth but with so many options out there, where do I start?  I’ve decided to take on this task and “green” my life one day at a time, using simple, easy to follow and low cost ideas that anyone can follow.

All aboard the green train!
